Foolishy Fat
God I went to another martial arts class tonite. I was the unfittest, fatest, unflexible, weakest and crapest person there - I think yep I know every1 I look foolish - i’m unfit and old ( oldest there compared to every1 else) but I go cos I think the shakeup the martial arts class gives my body - will help shift if not shape the FAT - What does everyone else think?? I dont wish to spend the rest of my days feeling like this - I wana enjoy the journey - can I - does any1 enjoy the jorney to fitness? How hard is it to shift a pound… sticking to the calories is a hard job - I take everyday as it comes - everyday the challenge is lets make today work a fit day.- why is it all so hard?
it’s hard, because it’s change. it’s different than how you used to eat and live - correct? it gets easier the longer you do it. it has to become more of a lifestyle than a diet. at least that was my experience. i don’t know if i could’ve handled looking into a mirror for an hour without comparing or feeling bad about myself. i started out with the treadmill at my house when i was at my heaviest and worked my way out of the house and up in minutes and days.
hey, you’re doing it, but something i’ve been trying to do lately, i’m not always successful, is to not talk about my self with negative words. think of where you want to be and where you are going. another thing that can help you enjoy your journey is ‘act as if’. act as if you love your body. act as if you love working out. act as if you love spinach. okay, you get the point.

I think that’s called “fake it ’til you make it”

Hey girlie, martial arts is one of the best ways to lose weight and tone up….so stick with it! I lost over 3 stone when I started taekwon-do and managed to keep it off for 5 years now. The classes will seem easier as the time goes on, and you wont feel as awkward in the class when you’re finally able to put some names to faces!
And 32 is not “old” when it comes to martial arts! Sure there’s a taekwon-do master in the UK called Master Harry - he’s in his 60’s (I think) and his kicking abilities put us all to shame when he did a seminar over here a few years ago!
You have to look at what you can do and what you did, not focus on what you didn’t do or couldn’t do. Take a look at what you did and what you accomplished! You went and gave it your all right? How many people aren’t even TRYING to be healthy??? Claim it, own it, and realized you rocked it!
I’m actually very grateful to each of you, Kaire, Blaithin, Sandy and Lagator. Each of your words give me a different take on how I should take charge of my life. Its really 1am in the morning here , I’m logging in after a good while & was not expecting any reads, let-a-lone comments - to find them was a pleasant surprise. to read each one, is refreashing - just having people who don’t know you give a view - is the best thing when you feeling like I do… u’ll understand in my nxt blog. right here, right now I just want to say thankyou to each of you - it means alot.x
